Geodesic dome build.

We did a huge project this weekend. We learned about geodesic domes (learn more about them here) and how they spread their weight evenly through the structure. Pretty impressive.

Dad helped us by getting enough wood. We used fir because it's a strong wood. He cut it so it was all the same length (not too long or too short otherwise the dome would be the wrong size).

We sanded down the rough edges so there were no splinters.

Then we screwed the connectors into place and put it all together. Looks amazing! We will be using it as a fort this summer.
